On August 20, 2010, ACRU Senior Legal Counsel John Armor passed away in a North Carolina hospital, following cancer surgery. Please click here to read the press release.

John Armor is of legal counsel to the ACRU. He holds a B.A., Yale, 1964 and J.D., Maryland Law School, 1970. He has practiced in various state and federal courts, including 33 years in the US Supreme Court. He has expertise in Supreme Court cases, First Amendment, and federal judiciary. He has authored seven books and more than 750 articles published to date.

Ken Blackwell photo

Ken Blackwell is an ACRU Senior Fellow. He is a contributing editor for the conservative news and opinion site Townhall.com and his columns frequently appear in the Washington Times, New York Post and National Review Online. Mr. Blackwell's public service includes terms as Mayor of Cincinnati, Undersecretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Human Rights Commission. In 1994, he became the first African-American to hold statewide office in Ohio when he was elected Treasurer of State. He subsequently was elected to two terms as Secretary of State. In 2006, he was nominee for Governor of Ohio. He holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Education degrees from Xavier University in Ohio.

Peter Ferrara is ACRU General Counsel. He graduated Harvard College, Magna Cum Laude, 1976 and Harvard Law School, Cum Laude, in 1979. He is a member of the District of Columbia and U.S. Supreme Court Bars. He has served as a Senior Staff Member in the White House Office of Policy Development 1981-1983 and as Associate Deputy Attorney General of the U.S. from 1991-1993. He has authored several books and publications dealing with economics and the law.

Ken Klukowski is a Fellow and Senior Legal Analyst with the ACRU. He has worked in government and for public interest organizations, and currently writes, consults and speaks on legal and public policy issues. A frequent contributor to a number of media outlets, his work focuses on religious liberty, the Second Amendment, national security, federalism, and elections. His scholarly publications on constitutional issues have been published and cited by a number of respected legal journals and in court filings. He holds an undergraduate degree in business from the University of Notre Dame, studied history and political science at Arizona State University, and earned his law degree from George Mason University.

Robert Knight is an ACRU Senior Fellow. He has been a journalist for 15 years, including 7 as editor/writer at Los Angeles Times. He holds a B.S. in Political Science from American University, 1973 and a M.A., Political Science; 1975 American University, and a Media Fellowship, 1989-1990 Hoover Institution, Stanford University. He has also held senior positions with the Heritage Foundation, Family Research Council, Concerned Women for America, Media Research Center, and Coral Ridge Ministries. He has authored three books and hundreds of reports, papers and articles.
