As a member of the Constitutional Club, you will receive:
- Personal updates by ACRU’s senior management on our current work and projects;
- Personal letters from our President, updating you on our work and the impact we are having across the country;
- Invitations to ACRU events;
- Complimentary copies of ACRU’s publications;
- Subscription to our weekly newsletter; and
- Participation in conference calls hosted by our policy experts to discuss program strategy.
Leave a Legacy for Freedom
Invest in our country’s future through a bequest or planned gift to the American Civil Rights Union. Through this type of support, you will become a member of the ACRU Legacy Society and will help ensure that someone is fighting for the constitutional rights of your grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A bequest can be made in several ways:
- Gift of a percentage of your estate;
- Gift of a specific dollar amount or asset; or
- Gift from the balance or residue of your estate.
A bequest is one of the easiest gifts to make. With the help of your advisor, you can include language in your will specifying a gift to be made to the ACRU as part of your estate plan. Sample language that you can include in your will is below.
If you would like to make such a gift to the American Civil Rights Unions through your will, your attorney may wish to include language similar to the following:
“I give, devise, and bequeath to the American Civil Rights Union, now or formerly in the City of Alexandria, (dollar amount, percentage, or __ percent of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate), to be used for its general purposes.”
